Suiren Violet Walnut Chess/Checker board

This handmade, wooden Chess/Checker Board is made from Walnut Wood and epoxy resin. The epoxy resin contains Suiren Violet pigment from Eye Candy. 

Once the epoxy is poured it is given 3 days to cure (harden). At that time it is flattened to the final thickness and then sanded with a series of grits (120, 150 and 240). Then it is given a flood coat to give it that glass like luster and feel. The bottom is then sprayed with a polyurethane finish

Length = 16"

Thickness is 1.25"
